  • Plan to stay in Denmark for at least one year
  • Speak either English or Danish

To get a career mentor you must:

  • Be an international citizen
  • Live in Odense or be a spouse to someone who is employed in Odense
  • Plan to stay in Denmark for at least one year
  • Speak either English or Danish
  • Be unemployed or hold a position that does not match your qualifications
  • Be actively applying for jobs
  • Have attended a job search seminar*

Even though it is free to participate in the mentor programme, we spend time and money on finding and preparing the volunteer mentors. It is therefore very important that you consider whether you can set aside the time and effort that is required to participate in the programme before signing up.

Specifically, you have to be able to meet with your mentor at least once every month during a period of six months and possibly spend time on assignments in between meetings.

*If you have not yet attended a job search seminar, please do so. Workindenmark holds them regularly (go to Workindenmark's website). It is possible to get enrolled in Odense Host Programme without having attended a job search seminar, but you will not be given a mentor until after you have attended the seminar.
